Marco Santiago, New Blues-Jazzer in Hawaii

Hawaii-based blues-jazz-R&B artist, Marco Santiago, independently released his CD entitled "Rudiments" on 8/20/12. "Rudiments" is the first in a series of four planned albums to be released in the 2012 to 2014 time frame. The first two albums will focus on smoother elements of jazz, latin, and soft rock genres suitable for listening on sandy beaches or during late night encounters. The latter two albums will deal with heavier things often found in deeper waters when exploring the harder edges of blues, rock, and jazz. 

Marco is an American songwriter, producer, and recording artist. His musical stylings blend blues, jazz, latin, soft rock, and R&B. His works feature various guitar styles and layered percussion in both vocal and instrumental formats. Marco plays all instruments, performs all singing, engineers and mixes, and conducts all production on his recordings. Marco plays Fender, Gibson, Godin, Taylor, and Martin electric and acoustic guitars; Fender basses; a Yamaha MO8 synthesizer; and a Roland TD-4 drum set. 

Since initial release Marco has had more than 32,000 Internet plays on Radio Airplay (formerly known as Jango Airplay).  Listener and fan comments from around the world are universally positive.  Marco has also entered the International Songwriting Competition 2012 (see: http://www.songwritingcompetition.com); submitted "Rudiments"  for NPR’s “All Songs Considered”; and will participate ASCAP’s “I Create Music” Expo next spring in Los Angeles (see: http://www.ascap.com/eventsawards/events/expo).  His second cd, "Surrender" will debut at the Expo.  

Marco is an active member of ASCAP, The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers.
