About

Marco is an American songwriter, producer, and recording artist. His musical style blends blues, jazz, latin, soft rock, and R&B. His works feature various guitar styles and layered percussion in both vocal and instrumental formats. Marco plays all instruments and performs all singing on his recordings. The first of four planned ten-song collections (the songs are screaming to get out), Rudiments was independently released by way of www.cdbaby.com in August 2012 . His next digital collection/CD, Surrender Redux, was released in 2015 via cdbaby and is available on iTunes. Blacker & Bluer is scheduled for release to all venues 20 October 2015.

Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, after touring with various bands, primarily in the US, Canada, and Japan, he sequentially semi-settled and worked in Miami; Los Angeles; Monterrey, California; Okinawa; Omaha; South Korea; Maryland; Hawaii; and finally based his home life in Nashville, TN.

Marco is an active member of ASCAP, The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers.

He plays Fender, Gibson, Godin, and Martin electric and acoustic guitars; Fender basses; a Yamaha MO8 synthesizer; and a Roland TD-4 drum set.

Blacker & Bluer: Newest Album Release - Jazzy & Bluesy; Absolutely Not "Bruisey!"

Third time’s the charm.  After a gap of nearly two years, Marco Santiago releases his third album, Blacker & Bluer, on 20 October 2015, with a total of thirteen songs including two bonus re-releases.

A versatile songwriter, instrumentalist, and singer, Marco combines his love of blues with rockabilly and a hint of the tropics on this album.  His guitar work is reminiscent of Clapton and Santana, but with his own distinctive tones and hues.
