General Practices

StoryAmp, LLC (“StoryAmp” or the “Company”) understands that security and privacy are important issues for visitors to our web site, storyamp.com (the “Site”), and we recognize our obligation to keep your information secure and confidential. That is why we maintain the following standards to help protect information that personally identifies you. Information Practices for Artists & Journalists

StoryAmp is a platform that facilitates information sharing between artists and journalists.

As an artist on StoryAmp, your data will be shared only with qualified journalists, unless you choose otherwise. You may share your information with others and the public via a private URL within StoryAmp if you so choose.

Journalists who wish to participate in StoryAmp must submit an application and be vetted by the StoryAmp team to ensure that they meet StoryAmp’s qualifications for participation in the platform. Once a journalist is qualified, he or she may receive information from artists based on geographical or music genre preferences.

As a qualified journalist on StoryAmp, your name, email address, and other contact details are not shared with anyone without your permission. We will follow activity on the platform. StoryAmp tracks the dispatches you view, the dispatches you add to, or remove from, the Queue or the Shortlist, the tracks you play, the content of feedback submissions, as well as other information. However, your activity on StoryAmp is only shown to artists in aggregate at the media outlet level. For example, if a qualified journalist from The New York Times viewed an artist’s dispatch on StoryAmp, the artist would receive the following communication from the platform:
