He shared the album with his brother Justin, and in interviews at the time, they touted Longwave as being their favorite band.[2] During Blue October's History for Sale tour in 2004, they would play the entire Strangest Things album over the PA during set ...

Harvard of the South announce its debut EP Miracle for release April 7 via Slo Lab Records with a series of tour dates slated to begin April 8th (dates below). Today the group – made up of members of Longwave and Blue October – also reveals the lead track from the EP “All Our Ashes” via Yahoo Music.
Comprised of Longwave vocalist/guitarist Steve Schlitz and three members of Blue October – brothers Jeremy and Justin Furstenfeld and bassist Matt Noveskey – Harvard of the South traces its beginnings to 2009 when the two groups toured together and is now kicking into high gear. The quartet features Steve and Justin taking the lead as dual vocalists, with Steve and Jeremy as the band’s creative driving force.
“Harvard of the South was originally conceived to be a fun project amid the other things we were doing,”explains Steve on the band’s origin. “When we finished the recordings, I was pretty surprised at how closely it turned out to that idea! It sounds like we're enjoying ourselves.”
“I completely agree w Steve here,” adds Jeremy. “One thing that completely sets Harvard of the South and Blue apart, to me, is spontaneity. The whole way we went about writing, and recording these songs, was different. There was never intention to release these, originally. There was no pressure that came along w an existing band. Will you out do your last record, will you make the label, or radio happy? None of that pressure was there. We just wanted to make ourselves happy and play music that inspired us.”
The band recorded, edited and produced the Miracle EP entirely on its own at Jeremy’s home studio. A full-length album is also in the works.
Harvard of the South is excited to release their debut EP Miracle TODAY via Slo Lab Records, and the EP is available now on iTunes as well as physically.
The band previously revealed the EP’s opening track “All Our Ashes”, and today celebrates the release of their debut with the video for title track “Miracle,” created by Bill Moldt.
Of the video, Jeremy Furstenfeld says, “The lyric video we made for this video caught me by surprise. Steve [Schiltz’s] friend, Bill, put this together for us using his own ideas and imagination of the song. Its very childlike, and takes me back to wanting to have the imagination of a child again.”
The “Miracle” video premiered with HitFix- please post and share!
